What to fill your advent calendars with!

I’ve had a lot of people ask me what I will be filling our advent calendar with this year and so I’ve pulled together a few ideas.  I try to fill ours with a mixture of chocolate, toys, activities and try my best to steer away from single use plastic but it’s not always easy. Not everything is appropriate for each age but hopefully there are a few ideas and I’ve added a few links.

1. Sweets/chocolate – chocolate coins are great.

2. Seeds/bulb to plant

3. Crayons

4. Print a Christmas colouring picture/word search/activity and fold up

5. Toy animals – farm/ocean/safari set that can be spread across several days.

6. Christmas Tree Decoration

7. A homemade “ticket” to a local attraction/park/zoo

8. Pennies for piggy banks

9. A paper snowflake all ready to be unfolded and hung up

10. A whistle (I might regret this)

11. A large wooden dice

12. Tiny cuddly toy

13. Key Ring

14. Magnifying glass

15. Bouncy Ball

16. Wind up toy

17. Bath Toys
